THANK YOU FEBRUARY

I’m sitting here in my room, today 1st of March 2025 looking back at the month that used to be m,y favorite month of the year, and I can’t honestly say I still feel the same way. Well not because I chopped breakfast of some sort but then Life chose my favorite month to land me one of the heaviest blows a man can have, but here I am, standing, barely catching my balance but standing.

I am here looking back at the month with a lot of questions largely starting with “What if?” I wish I had answers to a lot of these questions but I guess as they say, “We’ll never know”

Forgive me my disjointed writing, i’m just a man trying to catch his breath after goinfg through what seem like the darkest alley with little or no guidance but opinions from various quarters coming from a place of bias, so called experience, so-called spiritual maturity and even acclaimed emotional intelligence and relatability and what nots but actually almost no one had the discerning to really understand the effect of being unable to break down after a second hit, not because the hit wasn’t heavy, but because life isn’t fair to those who stay down, so you’ve got to take the hit chin up and absorb the pain without neccessarily dealing with the aftermath of the hit.

Oh February, you gave me just another reason to despise the hallowed month of Love, the month where I get to celebrate my very anniversary of brith and I would not want to go away easilily now became the month that I just wished never happened.

The feeling of unexplainable and unexpressible pain, coupled with the fact that subtle blame was thrown at you here and there can be very injurious to the weak and even the strongest feel the heat, but guess what February? You didn’t win!

In February I cried, I wailed, I wished, I regretted, I felt disappointed, I felt let down, I felt I let down my loved ones and I felt lost, I felt bland, I got my biggest gift and yet got my biggest blow! How do I even marry all of these in my dearly beloved month of Love?

At the end, I never lost my worship, I never lost my praise, my faith was shaken but I held on to the ROCK! I was hurt terribly but the balm of gilead is working, how long it’ll take I don’t know but i’m willing to try, and I’m gonna put in the work.

Thank you February, it was fun riding with you on this willd roller coaster 28-day trip.

I dust my shoes, pick my bag and journey ahead, because nobody really gives a sh** about my woes neither are they bothered about my well-being. The moment you stop being valuable they move on, no hard-feelings it’s just the circle of life.

Under the sun and in the rain, I’m gonna cling to the old rugged cross!

We March On!
